###
Why “Once Saved Always Saved” Is Unbiblical
> **“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”** (Matt 7:21)
> **“I know you not; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”** (Matt 7:23)
* Many believe salvation is guaranteed by a **past faith event** or by **simply not turning away from Jesus**.
* Scripture shows that **merely acting like a Christian outwardly or maintaining minimal faith is insufficient**:
> **“Even the devils believe and tremble.”** (James 2:19)
> **“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord… and I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me.”** (Matt 7:22–23)
* **The will of the Father** is to **believe in the Son even when He tells you to wash feet and do this in remembrance of Me** (John 6:29) — which is the path to **abiding in Christ** and receiving His Spirit.
* Endurance, obedience, and **Spirit-filled fruit** are required; outward appearance is not enough.
> **“He that endureth to the end shall be saved.”** (Matt 24:13)

The Parable of the Ten Virgins ![]()
> **“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins… which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.”** (Matt 25:1–13)
* All ten virgins expected Christ; all had lamps.
* **The difference** was readiness and fullness of lamps.
* Foolish virgins tried to buy more oil — but **the door was shut**.
> **“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour.”** (Matt 25:13)
**Lesson:** Salvation requires **ongoing dependence on the Spirit**; initial faith or outward conformity is not sufficient.

###
Oil = The Holy Spirit ![]()
> **“Without me ye can do nothing.”** (John 15:5)
* The oil represents the **Holy Spirit**, sustaining obedience, fruit, and endurance.
* It is **God’s life in us**, filling our lamps and empowering our walk.
> **“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”** (Acts 2:4)
> **“Be not drunk with wine… but be ye filled with the Spirit.”** (Eph 5:18)
> **“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you…”** (1 John 2:27)
**Lesson:** The Spirit is our **ongoing provision**, not a one-time gift. Lamps go out when we neglect dependence on Him.

The Christian Life as a Race That Requires Endurance ![]()
> **“And let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”** (Heb 12:1–2)
> **“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called.”** (1 Tim 6:12)
* Walking with Christ requires **discipline, endurance, and daily Spirit-filled participation**.

###
Living in Christ: Fruit and the Good Tree ![]()
> **“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”** (Matt 7:18)
> **“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”** (1 John 2:6)
* Fruit must be consistent and Spirit-driven; intermittent Christlike behavior is insufficient.
We’re supposed to walk like Jesus!

###
The Necessity for Provision and Our Weakness ![]()
> **“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood… against spiritual wickedness in high places.”** (Eph 6:12)
> **“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”** (2 Cor 12:9)
* We are weak, and the enemy seeks to **wear out the saints**.
* Dependence on God’s provision — Spirit, the table, and covenant participation — is essential.

###
Joel: Provision Cut Off and Returning to God ![]()
> **“The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD.”** (Joel 1:9)
> **“Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly… and cry unto the LORD.”** (Joel 1:14)
> **“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh… and I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.”** (Joel 2:28–25)
* Provision is cut off when obedience is absent.
* Returning through covenant obedience **restores Spirit, endurance, and fruit**.

###
Salvation Is Present, Not Future ![]()
> **“Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”** (Rom 6:18)
> **“Sin shall not have dominion over you.”** (Rom 6:14)
> **“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”** (Rom 6:3)
* Salvation is **active and lived now**, not only in the afterlife.
* The cross is sufficient, but its power is meant to **transform our lives in the present**, producing righteousness, endurance, and Spirit-filled fruit.

###
Foot Washing: Preparing for Participation ![]()
> **“If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.”** (John 13:8)
> **“He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit.”** (John 13:10)
* Foot washing **removes daily defilement** and sanctifies us now.
* Prepares believers to **fully partake in Christ** through communion and crucifying the flesh.

###
Crucifying the Flesh Through Christ + Communion ![]()
> **“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”** (Gal 2:20)
> **“They that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”** (Gal 5:24)
> **“This is my body, which is given for you… This cup is the new covenant in my blood.”** (Luke 22:19–20)
> **“As often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”** (1 Cor 11:26)
* Crucifying the flesh is **participatory, Spirit-empowered**, not self-effort.
* Communion **activates the Spirit**, fills lamps, and produces fruit and needs to be observed OFTEN.

Return to the Table: The Only Way to Walk in Christ ![]()
![]()
> **“This is my body, which is given for you… This cup is the new covenant in my blood.”** (Luke 22:19–20)
> **“As often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”** (1 Cor 11:26)
* The table is **our provision, our power, our connection to Christ**.
* **Through communion, we receive the Spirit, crucify the flesh, and bear fruit** — the very life of Christ in us.
* True Christlikeness is **impossible apart from the table**; it is the path to abiding, enduring, and walking faithfully.
**Call to Action:**
* **Return to the table daily.**
* Let the Spirit fill your lamp, empower your walk, and produce lasting fruit.
* The table is not just ritual — it is **life, provision, and obedience made tangible**.
—
**Key Takeaway:**
Salvation is **active, Spirit-filled, and present**, not a one-time event. Outward conformity or minimal faith is insufficient. The table is the source of Spirit, life, and fruit — the only way to truly walk in Christ. **Do not neglect it. Abide daily, endure, and bear fruit for the glory of God.**
