Reimagining Home Church
Reimagining Home Church
Partaking in the Lord's supper is so much more than a quick, tiny little cup of juice and cracker. Come experience communion the way it was meant to be.
We are called to love one another the same way Jesus loves us. Our traditional methods of listening to an hour long sermon and going home doesn't really foster that kind of connection.
The way you understand God's word might be different than the way someone else understands it. Let's discover the truth of His word together.
Smoke machines and bright lights don't create an atmosphere of worship. A heart fixated on the glory of Jesus does. Have a song on your heart? Bring it to the table and let's sing it together.
Every born again believer has powerful gifts, given by God, meant to build up His church. We help you discover those gifts and put them to use.
Have a testimony? A word from God? Questions about the sermon you just heard? Let's talk about it. At house church you're not just going to sit down and keep quite, unless you want to.
Hallelujah!
For our Lord God Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and His bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 19 7-8 NIV
Waymker was born out of a community's need to organize the volunteer efforts associated with hurricane Harvey in 2017. We didn't have a way for people to properly coordinate rescue or relief. We built a system for people to safely and efficiently help or receive help from people and organizations. That system can be used by the body of Christ to radically change the world.
"they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks"
There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others"
What if a group of God-fearing, people loving believers got together with a ton of money and decided to change the world? What if there were checks and balances to make sure their actions were always bringing glory to God and that the money being used was to further God's kingdom and help people?
By providing a different way for people to find goods and services, we can capitalize on the over 350 billion dollars spent on digital advertising every year. Every time you search for a local plumber or a new tv, you're giving companies money who don't really do good things. Imagine if we took that money back and spent it on the things that matter most to God. And the coolest thing is that you, and the rest of the body, get to determine what those things are.
There are over 380,000 churches in the US alone. Every one of them are paying for their buildings, electricity, groundskeeping and more. Couldn't we save that money by having church in a house? And couldn't we combine that money and create monumental change? What if there were a governing body of godly men, held accountable by a large body of believers, who could make decisions on what to do with that pool of money? Couldn't we show the world what true love really is?
