🕯️ THE MEANING OF THE TABERNACLE REVEALED

Why the Temple Was Always Pointing Forward to the Table
The Tabernacle was never about rituals that ended.
It was a pattern of approach — one Jesus fulfilled, not erased.

“See that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
📖 Hebrews 8:5

Every element pointed forward to communion.

🔥 SACRIFICE ALWAYS CAME FIRST
Before the Table…
Before the light…
Before the presence…
There was the altar of sacrifice.
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls.”
📖 Leviticus 17:11
Animals were offered, blood was poured out, and life was given so that the priesthood could approach God without being consumed.
But those sacrifices never removed sin —
they shadowed the true sacrifice to come.
“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.”
📖 Hebrews 10:4

Jesus fulfills what the altar could only point toward.

🍷 THE WINE IS PARTICIPATION IN THE SACRIFICE
Jesus does not invite us to observe His death.
He invites us to participate in it.
“This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”
📖 Luke 22:20
The wine represents:

  • poured-out life
  • substitution
  • judgment satisfied
  • covenant sealed
Just as priests ate portions of sacrificial offerings:
“The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it.”
    📖 Leviticus 6:26
Believers now partake of the cup — not repeating sacrifice, but entering into the once-for-all offering of Christ.
“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?”
    📖 1 Corinthians 10:16
    No sacrifice — no cup.

No blood — no table.

🚿 CLEANSING COMES BEFORE COMMUNION
After sacrifice came cleansing.
“They shall wash with water, lest they die, when they come near to the altar.”
📖 Exodus 30:20
This was not about dirt, but readiness to stand before God.
Jesus gives this responsibility to the Body itself:
“If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
📖 John 13:8
Foot washing is the ongoing priestly cleansing Christ commanded, allowing believers to approach the Table rightly — together.
“You also ought to wash one another’s feet.”
📖 John 13:14

The table for the show bread was so holy that, like the ark, it had holes in it so poles could be slid through and carried without sinful hands touching it.

🍞 THE BREAD OF THE PRESENCE
The bread was set continually before God and eaten only by the priesthood.
“You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me always.”
📖 Exodus 25:30
Jesus fulfills this as His body.
“Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you.”
📖 1 Corinthians 11:24
When we eat the bread and drink the wine:

  • we receive provision
  • participate in His crucifixion
  • we proclaim His death
  • we unite as one body
“For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.”
    📖 1 Corinthians 10:17
The Table becomes the new altar.

The Church becomes the priesthood.

🕎 THE LAMPSTAND IS THE CHURCH
Opposite the Table stood the lampstand — fed by oil, facing God.
“You shall make a lampstand of pure gold… and you shall light its lamps.”
📖 Exodus 25:31–37
Jesus identifies the fulfillment:
“The seven lampstands which you saw are the churches.”
📖 Revelation 1:20
The Church does not generate light.
It bears light by remaining oriented toward Him.
“You are the light of the world.”
📖 Matthew 5:14

Provision received becomes light expressed.

🌫️ INCENSE AND NEARNESS TO GOD
The altar of incense stood directly before the veil.
“You shall put it before the veil… where I will meet with you.”
📖 Exodus 30:6
Incense represents prayer, obedience, unity and ultimately the agape love believers have for one another and God, that rises as sweet offerings:
“Let my prayer be set before You as incense.”
📖 Psalm 141:2
Nearness is cultivated.
Not rushed.
Not assumed.
Sweet incense are pleasing to God, because it glorifies Him. We glorify Him when we shine. The more we shine, the more of Himself is revealed to us.

💯 Our sweet aroma is what causes the spiritual veil to be lifted.

🩸 JESUS DID NOT REMOVE THE PATTERN — HE COMPLETED IT
➡️ Sacrifice
➡️ Cleansing
➡️ Bread & Wine
➡️ Light
➡️ Prayer
➡️ Presence
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus…”
📖 Hebrews 10:19
The Tabernacle was never about buildings.
It was always pointing forward to the Table — and a people prepared to participate rightly.
“Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.”
📖 1 Corinthians 11:28
🕯️🔥🍞🍷🕎
The hard truths:
We are here in the little season.
Deception is everywhere.
Satan is ruling on earth.
We are not.
We are divided.
We are confused.
We are corrupt and scandalous.
There is no church.
God’s name is a mockery among the nations.
The world does not know that Jesus is the Son of God by our love for one another.
We are missing something.
The Good News:
God says that He will never leave us or forsake us.
That He will work all things together for our good.
That He will make a way in the wilderness.
My brothers and sisters, God is the way. He already told us what to do.
It’s just that nobody is doing it.
❤️ What truly matters now.
Consecrate a fast.
Baptize one another for the remission of your sins.
Confess your trespasses and reconcile with your siblings.
Get back to the table!
Wash your neighbors feet. Have them wash yours.
Eat blessed bread and drink the blood.
Pray for, encourage, edify and love your neighbors with the kind of love only our God can provide.
Obey your God and He will open up the storehouses and rain blessings upon you.
Get back to covenant in small local groups. That’s what the miracle working martyrs of the early church did.
Woman, submit to your husbands.
Husband’s, die for your wives.
Let men be known as elders and submit to them.
Hold one another accountable.
Remove unrepentant members from among you with the hope of restoration.
Just read the word and do what it says.
God promises to write His Word on our hearts if we abide in Him.
Get to the table and Abide!
